Catherine Bann Williams, 100, of Texarkana, AR passed away June 20, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Williams was born September 20, 1917 in Texarkana, AR. She was a life long member of St. Edward Parrish Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LT. Col. William R. Williams, Jr.; her parents, William Edward Bann and Maud Bann; brothers, Msgr. John M. Bann and Dr. William E. Bann; and sisters, Margaret Bann Hay and Louise Bann Narens.
Survivors include her sons, John Williams and his wife, Vickie of Tyler, TX, Bann Williams of Miami Shores, FL and Ross Williams of Texarkana, AR; daughters, Erin Williams of San Antonio, TX and Eileen Williams of Texarkana, AR and Ann Williams Purtle and husband, Don of Fayetteville, AR; grandsons, Stephen Purtle of Fayetteville, AR and David Purtle and wife Jessica of Sherwood, AR; granddaughters, Rebecca Behm and husband, Jacob of Houston, TX, Caroline Williams of Tyler, TX and Susannah Williams of Jackson, MS; 1 great grandson; 2 great granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at St. Edwards Catholic Church with Rev. James West and Deacon David Fowler officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
Rosary will be recited 7 p.m., Monday. June 25, 2018 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown.
Memorials may be made to St. Edward Building Fund.
