February 28, 1916 - January 13, 1969

Raliegh W. Garrison, 52, of Longview, Tex., died in a hospital there Monday morning following a brief illness. He was a former resident of El Dorado. Born Feb. 28, 1916, in Evansville, Ind., he was the son of William and Marie Bonenderger Garrison. He had resided in Longview five years and was co-owner of the Southwest Railroad Car Parts Company. He was a veteran of World War II and a Presbyterian. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bertha White Garrison, Longview; his mother, Mrs. Marie Stokes, Evansville; a brother, Laverne Garrison, Evansville; and three sisters, Mrs. Hilda Scriber and Mrs. Billie Brackett, both of Evansville, and Mrs. Robena Stokes, East St. Louis, Ill. The family will be at the Harry L. Smith residence on West Lake Road. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Young's. (El Dorado Times - January 14, 1969)
