Reva Jean Kimbro Ferguson, 90, of Russellville, passed away on October 11, 2012, after fighting a long battle against Dementia. Born to Alvin and Katherine Kimbro on July 22, 1922, Reva Jean moved to Eudora, Arkansas, in 1949, with her husband, Everett Hamilton (E.H. or Ed) Ferguson. This
loving couple was inseparable. They loved to travel,
especially by train – often hopping on board without any thought about the destination. In Eudora, she was an extraordinarily active member of the Eudora Baptist Church, leading many Sunday School classes and Bible studies. Her husband of 50 years passed away in 1992, and she moved to Russellville in 1998.
She quickly and enthusiastically started a Bible study in her new community and made many new friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. H. Ferguson; a daughter, Linda Ferguson Meadows; and 8 brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter,
Jeanette Ferguson Burgess, and her husband, Dr. James G. Burgess, of Russellville, a son, Alan Kimbro Ferguson, of Hot Springs; son-in-law Charlie
Meadows, of Greenville, Mississippi; granddaughter Stacy Burgess Rowlett, of Russellville and her husband Bill, and children, Amber Lea, Katie Rowlett, and Chase Rowlett; grandson Brian L. Burgess, of Austin, Texas, and his wife Karen, and children, Everett and Aubrey Burgess; granddaughter Jill Burgess, of Austin, Texas; grandson Wesley Meadows, of Cairo, Georgia, and his wife, Virginia, and children, Megan and Chassidy; grandson Matthew Meadows, of Nashville, Tennessee, and his partner, Anthony Creasy; and brother-in-law John Hamilton
Ferguson, of Fordyce, Arkansas and his wife Charlotte plus many nieces and nephews.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Eudora Baptist Church, 339 S. Archer, Eudora, AR 71640 or Arkansas Hospice, 2405 E. Parkway, Suite 3, Russellville,
AR 72802.
With deepest gratitude, the family would like to thank the staff at the Russellville Nursing and Rehab Center and Arkansas Hospice for their love, care, and compassion.
Graveside service will be Monday, Oct. 15 at 11:00 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora under the direction of Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service.
Arrangement by Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of Eudora, AR.
