Dorothy Belle Wolfe Avery was born November 3, 1928, to Jesse
Lloyd Wolfe and Lillie Belle (Moseley) Wolfe Dodson in Warren,
Arkansas. She passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 in Heber Springs,
Arkansas.
Dorothy married J.N. Avery on September 23, 1944. Dorothy enjoyed
crocheting, bird watching and spending time with her family on the banks
of the Little Red River. One of her proudest moments was receiving her
G.E.D. from Shelby County, Tennessee at the age of 52. Dorothy was a
member of Sugarloaf Baptist Church in Heber Springs.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, J.B.
Dodson; husband, J.N.; two sons, Jesse Joe Avery and Roy Linn Avery;
daughter, Patty Mathis; and sixteen brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters: Glenda Sue (Floyd) Price and Mary
(Don) Cranford; brother, Joe Dodson; sister, Marie Wolfe Jones; son-inlaw, Everette Mathis; daughter-in-law, Ellen Avery; six grandchildren:
Greg (Katy and Kylie) Price, Ginger Clayton, Bryan (Leslie) Price, Donna
(John) Reppond, Janet (Jason) Cox and Teri (Charles) Adams; sixteen
great-grandchildren: Nicole (Kevin) Bryan, Blane (Jessica) Price, Jessica (Cameran) Evans, Cierra Price, Gunner Price, Mesa Price, Gage Price, Cody Price, Hope Price, Paige Price, Tyler Reppond, Logan Cox, Lindsey Cox, Jackson Adams, Jolene Adams, and Patricia Adams; and four
great-grandchildren: Kamren Bryan, Landon Bryan, Chloe Evans, and
Brooklynn Price. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and
friends.

*Burial was in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, Arkansas.
