Joe C. Ross, 79, of El Dorado, AR; died on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Pleasant Valley Living Center in Little Rock, AR.
Born on July 11, 1938 in El Dorado, AR; Joe was the son of Joe Toney Ross and Modena Cary Ross. Joe as co-owner of Ross Nursery was a noted landscape architect. He was active in Arkansas Nurseryman and landscape architect associations. He received his degree from LSU where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He served in the Army. Joe was an active member and enjoyed singing in the choirs of First Baptist Church and later Geyer Springs Baptist Church. He was a member of the Civitan Club.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Saxon Ross and his wives Connie Hull Ross the mother of his children and Gloria Lee Ross.

Survivors are a son Richard Ross (Pam) of Little Rock; a daughter Stefanie Bryant (Jim) of Springdale; sisters Carolyn Hendricks of Edom, TX and Rev. Pat Daugherty (E.J.) of El Dorado; a brother John Ross of Drop, TX; along with grandchildren Landin Norman (Sarah), Malyn Norman, Kelsey Jelinek (Josh) there daughter Ellison Jelinek, Christopher Bryant (Elaina), Matthew Bryant and Andrew Bryant. He also had many extended family members that he loved dearly.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 pm to 8pm at Young’s Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be at 10 am, Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Brian Trostle officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
