Juanita Pearl Gennings, 86 of Searcy passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010. She was born Monday, December 17, 1923. She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, played the piano, sang in the choir and was WMU Director.

Mrs. Gennings was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Gertrude Kendrick, step-mother Arlie Kendrick of Mountain View, sister, Sue Smith of Missouri. She is survived by her husband of 65 years,, RJ Gennings; daughter, Gwen Gennings of Searcy and Gayle Vess (Jerry) of Searcy; granddaughter, Laura Cooper of Searcy; grandson, Corey Vess (Donna) of Center Hill; six great-grandchildren, Taylor Pearson, Colton Cooper, Emily, Jill, Courtney and Lakyn Vess; brother, Ray Kendrick of California, half-brother, JR Kendrick of Mountain View, half-sister, Carol Ackland of Kansas. The family extends a special thank you to Hospice, especially to Teresa and Michelle.

The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers for Mrs.Genning's to be sent to Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund, 1601 East Moore, Searcy, Arkansas, 72143. Mrs. Gennings visitation will be 6:00 8:00 pm, Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in the chapel of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home with interment following at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy.
