August 26, 1930 - June 12, 1964
Murrell Edens, Jr, 33, of 1204 W. Eighth St., died in a local hospital early Friday. It is understood Mr. Edens suffered a heart seizure several weeks ago and a second attack, Thursday. For the last several years head of the IBM Department of Prescolite Manufacturing Co., Mrs. Edens was well known in local business and civic circles. He was a veteran of World War II, during which he served in the Air Force, and a member of the First Christian Church. He was born in Little Rock Aug. 26, 1930. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Vera Nelle Hostetler Edens; a son, Donald, two daughters, Debra and Linda; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Murrell Edens, all of El Dorado. He leaves also two sisters, Mrs. Dwight Chambers of Brea, Calif., and Mrs. Linwood H. Rowe of Monroe, La. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Young's. (The El Dorado Times - June 12, 1964)
