Bonnie Acklin
of Yellville
Belvia B. "Bonnie" Acklin, age 79, of Yellville, Arkansas died Monday, October 10, 2011 at her home, She was born in Mountain Home, Arkansas on September 3, 1932 to Charles Howard and Martha Lucille Carter Jones.
She had been employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Marion County Nursing Home in Yellville.
Survivors include her sons, Charles Allen Biggers and Jerry Dean Biggers of Yellville, AR; brother, Tom Jones, of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Josie Hinson of Farmington, NM, Mary Ann Burns of Wichita, KS and Lilly Beard of Nashville, TN; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; three brothers; and three sisters.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Burns Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the directions of Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, AR (870) 449-6621.
[NOTE: There is no gravestone for Belvia B. "Bonnie" Acklin, but at the time of her death, members of the Acklin family indicated that her cremains were placed next to the marker for her husband, Thomas Vernon Acklin, Sr. in the Galatia Cemetery.]
