Lance Levere "Bud" REYNOLDS

Arlington Memorial Cemetery
Union County,
Arkansas

October 28, 1915 - July 16, 2014

Graveside service for Lance "Bud" Reynolds, 98, of Cleburne, Texas, former longtime El Dorado, Arkansas resident, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 19, 2014 in Arlington Memorial Park in El Dorado.

Lance Levere Reynolds passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in Cleburne, Texas. He was born October 28, 1915 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas to Homer Penson and Mandy Fulsom Reynolds. He married Ellen King on July 8, 1935 in El Dorado, Arkansas and she preceded him in death on January 26, 2009.

Lance survived The Great Depression by picking fruit and sending money home the same way he survived WWII as an Aviation Metalsmith Second Class in the United States Navy: with much determination. He was a retired Master Welder and local union leader. Lance was also a conservationist, helping to reintroduce red fox and white-tailed deer into the area. As an avid "hound man," he won regional field trials and started a local deer club, now 70 years old. He was a member of the First Christian Church in El Dorado, Arkansas. He is survived by a family who deeply loved him.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Philip K. Reynolds; and siblings, Pat Reynolds and Betty Hall.
