Eugene Lane, age 84, of Lake Village, died Thursday, February 7, 2013, at hishome. He was born September 4, 1928 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, the son of the Late Arzo Lane and Estelle Massey Lane and was a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer serving in the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam War with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Donald Lane and Larry Lane, by 2
brothers, Glen and Richard Lane and by 2 sisters, Elvie Strawn and Lucille Lunsford. Survivors are his wife, Maysel Lane of Lake Village; a son, Danny Lane and wife, Chong, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a daughter, Debra Pearson and husband, Bobby, of Monroe, Louisiana; 2 brothers, Al Lane of Millington, Tennessee and Clifford Lane of Lake Village; 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 PM Sunday at Bishop Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2:00 PM Monday, February 11, 2013, at Bishop Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Phillip Payne officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Holy Innocents Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
