Mike M. Karchesky, 81, of LaMirada, Calif., died May 4, 1995, at Flagstaff, Ariz.
Born Oct. 15, 1913, at Beckley, W.Va., he was the son of Xavier Karchesky and Pauline Kolodinski Karchesky. He was a carpenter and a 40-year member of Carpenter's Association.
Survivors are his wife, Alberta Karchesky of Springdale; two sons, Michael A. Karchesky of Pendelton, Ore., and David K. Karchesky of Hindsville; a brother, Walter Melnick of Golden, Colo., three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale with the Rev. James Heckathorn officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

HINDSVILLE — Alberta Mae Karchesky, 90, of Hindsville died March 31, 2009, at Northwest Medici Center-Springdale. She was born Feb. 9, 1919. in Boswick, Neb., to Samuel Carl and Mae Devitt Lawson.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Harrison.
She was preceded in death bey her husband, Mike Karchesky.
Survivors include two sons, David Karchesky of Hindsville and Michael Karchesky of Pendleton, Ore.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, online at www.backstrom-pyeatte.com.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Steven Shotzman officiating.
Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
