Travis Neal Odom, age 81, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Monday, May 11, 2020. He was born January 5, 1939, in Cass County, Texas, and had lived most of his life in Texarkana.
He was a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and AWANA Leader. He was a retired Hearing Officer for the State of Arkansas and had been a member of the Board of Directors for Texarkana, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Earl and Pauline Odom, a brother, James Odom, a son-in-law, Mark Jackson, a niece, Lisa Phillips, and a nephew, Chris Phillips.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Dona Crawford Odom of Texarkana, Arkansas, one son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Jean Odom of London, England, two daughters and one son-in-law, Gwen and Lee Stevens and Denise Jackson of Texarkana, Arkansas, two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Eddie and Mary Odom of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Tim and Sharon Odom of Collinsville, Oklahoma, and Sylvia Odom of Fayetteville, Arkansas, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joyce and Bobby Thompson of Caldwell, Texas and Margaret Phillips of Dallas, Texas, four grandchildren, Trae Odom, Lillian Menut, Bailee Stevens, and Brayden Odom, and two great-grandchildren, Liam Odom and Olivia Menut.
Private family services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Monday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Tim Odom officiating. Public graveside services will follow the services at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
