Willie “Pookie” Gaston, age 63, of Lake Village, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Lake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center in Lake Village. He was born March 8, 1951, in Lake Village, Arkansas to the late Albert Gaston and Alberta Williams Gaston. He was a farmer and a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Lake Village.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Survivors are his wife, Margaret Crosby Gaston of Lake Village; 3 sons, Cedric Gaston of Dallas, TX, Eric Gaston of Memphis, TN, Derrick Gaston of Fayetteville; one daughter, Jennifer Gaston of Lake Village; 3 brothers, James, and Charlie Gaston of Eudora, and Albert Gaston of Paris, TN; 9 sisters, Verdadine and, Bonadine Carter, both of Tulsa, OK, Mary Jean Akins of Chicago, IL, Rosa Lee, and Doris Gaston, both of Lake Village, Bobbie, Patricia, Helen Gaston, and Gloria Campbell, all of Eudora; 3 grandchildren, Charlie, William Gaston of Fayetteville, AR and Quinterrian Gaston of Jonesboro, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Service will be 1P.M. Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village with Rev. Eugene Thomas officiating.
Arrangements were made by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas.
