Charles Franklin Jorden, 76, of Judsonia, died Friday, February 26, 2016 at his home. He was born October 6, 1939 in Searcy a son of the late Jack and Edith Pierce Jorden. Mr. Jorden was a retired mechanical engineer with the Eaton Corp. and a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Melba (Watkins) Jorden; two daughters, Rhonda Jorden (Gerald Russell) and Renee Jorden Gentry (Douglas); three grandchildren, Ryan, Jorden and Caleb Gentry; step-grandson, Nathan Russell (Gayle); three sisters, Shirley Ward (Stewart), Gereta Turpin (David) and Patricia Osbourne (Troy); brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin Watkins (Glenda) and Eva Gillam (Dennis); brother-in-law, A.D. Dale; numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to his wonderful caregivers for their love and care; Kristy Burress, Nina Shaw, Sarah Albert and Amy Hollis. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Dale.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. A time of visitation with the family will immediately follow for one hour. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob – Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
