Miss Melva Karnes, 74, Springdale, died Oct. 1 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born May 4, 1900 at West Fork, she was the daughter of James M. and Eva Robinson Karnes, a member of First Christian Church and a retired schoolteacher.
Survivors include two brothers, Clint Karnes, Kerrville, Tex., and Kenneth L. Karnes, Little Rock; and one sister, Miss Grace Karnes, Springdale.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Watson Mortuary, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Charles Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in Karnes Cemetery, West Fork, under the direction of Watson.
