Thelma Lorene Quattlebaum, age 92 of Searcy, died Saturday, Sept. 16 at her home.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and devoted her life to God. Her strong faith in God and her desire to provide for her family, friends and acquaintances carried her through many trials and triumphs and finally to her home with God and those who have gone on before. She was a wonderful and caring person with an amazingly independent spirit who treated people with love and respect.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bonnie C. Quattlebaum of Searcy; her parents Azz and LuAnne (Wortham) Quattlebaum of Romance; two brothers, Orb and Dillard Wortham; four sisters, Allie Turnbow, Dorthy Haney, Erma Lee Lawson, Myrtle Moffitt; and her nephew Haskell Haney. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church, a member of the LLL Sunday School Class, and an active member of the XYZ Club.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens. Online guestbook www.RollerFuneralHomes.com or (501) 268-3546.
