When Virgil Lee Weir was born on August 6, 1908, in McRae, Arkansas, his father, Dee, was 23 and his mother, Sarah, was 25. He married Anna Lou Smith in his hometown. They had two children during their marriage. He died on March 15, 1985, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 76, and was buried in White, Arkansas.

When Anna Lou Smith was born on October 11, 1909, in South Carolina, her father, Jesse, was 27, and her mother, Effie, was 23. She married Virgil Lee Weir in McRae, Arkansas. They had two children during their marriage. She died on November 28, 1991, at the age of 82, and was buried in White, Arkansas.
