Lida Gertrude Roe
Lida Gertrude Roe, 98, of Viola, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, June 25, 2020 in Salem, Arkansas. Lida was born October 30, 1921 to the late Otis Eldridge Laymon and Tinie Effie (Owens) Laymon in Elizabeth, Arkansas.
Lida married Creston Clifford Roe. Lida was a homemaker and attended the Viola Methodist Church. Lida was a good grandmother and she loved her family very much. Lida was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Lida is survived by her grandson, Lyndel Roe and his wife Marlena of North Little Rock, Arkansas; great grandson, Creston Roe of North Little Rock, Arkansas; sister, Willa Mae Wray of Viola, Arkansas; many other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, daughter (Barbara Roe), 2 sons ((Bill Roe and Robert Roe), parents, 3 sisters (Ethna, Lou and Dorlis) and 4 brothers (Johnie, Jimmy, Paul and Orville).
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Viola Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the Viola Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the Viola Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
