When Elbert Ernest Eubanks was born on January 23, 1908, in Cleveland, Arkansas, his father, Joseph, was 24 and his mother, Louella, was 22. He was married three times and had one son. He died on June 16, 1989, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 81, and was buried there.
