Lowell Mizell, 90, of Corning died Saturday at the VA Medical Center at Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born at Poyner, Mo., he was assistant postmaster for the Corning post office. He was an Army Air Corps veteran and member of First Baptist Church at Corning. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge No. 719 where he served as secretary for 32 years, and a 33rd degree Mason, a past patron of the Order of Eastern Star and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner.

He was a member of Rapert-Poyner Veterans of Foreign Wars Post at Corning. He was also a past secretary of the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Mizell of Corning; one son, Leslie Mizell of Pine Bluff; four brothers, Walter Mizell of Little Rock, Earl Mizell Jr. of Minneapolis, Minn., John L. Mizell of Greenville, Texas, and Howard Mizell of Pompano Beach, Fla.; one sister, Alfreda Lawson of Corning; and two grandchildren, Jessica Anne Mizell and Ashley Nicole Mizell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Artie Mizell and two brothers.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ermert Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. David Richey officiating.

Mrs. Elsie Faye Mizell, 90, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mrs. Mizell was born in Corning, AR., on July 1, 1927. She was retired from Basler Electric where she was a blueprint supervisor. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, First Baptist Church in Corning and a past Matron of Order of the Eastern Star.

She married her husband of 56 years Mr. Marion Lowell Mizell on April 6, 1947. He preceded her in death on December 20, 2003.

She is survived by her son Les Mizell of Pine Bluff, AR.; two grandchildren Jessica and husband Dan Cline, Ashley and husband Derrick Jacobs and great-grandson Felix.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Peter Edwin and Goldie Bertha (Hicks) Fickert; two brothers Claude Fickert, Tom Fickert; three sisters Hilda Holland, Kate Wertenberger, Christine Law and a grandson Christopher Blake Mizell.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Josh Raspberry officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 701 W 3rd St., Corning, AR 72422.
