Mrs. Lois Belle Hopper, 78, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the Woods of Monticello Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Hopper was a native of the Trafalgar Community outside of Hamburg; a resident of Hamburg for 30 years and a former resident of Lake Village for many years. She was a homemaker, a farmer and a Teacher’s Aid. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church in the Milo Community. She was a church pianist for many years, an avid gardener and a member of the Ashley County Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary Pink Ladies.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Hopper in 1996; her parents, Leroy & Irene Dingler Brady, a sister, Nelle Cooper and a daughter-in-law, Earla Jane Hopper.

She is survived by her children, Charlie Hopper of Dermott, David Hopper of Hamburg; Jerry Hopper and wife, Sherry, of Lake Village, Joy Barnes and husband, Bob, of Hamburg, Buddy Hopper and wife, Kristie, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Sharon Burnett and husband, Keith, of Hamburg and Mark Hopper and wife, Elaine, of Monticello; her brothers, Tom Brady of Dothan, Alabama, Sammy Brady of Atlanta, Georgia and Louie Brady of Malvern; her sisters, Clyda Fay Sims of Monticello and Sue Nash of Atlanta, Georgia; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2013 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Pennington officiating. Burial will be in the Trafalgar Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joseph Hopper, Joshua Hopper, Tony Hopper, Christopher Hopper, Britt Barnes and Zack Wood. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205-1569 or to the Ashley County Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary, PO Box 400, Crossett, AR 71635.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
