ROGERS — James "Mousey" Matlock, 75, of Rogers, died peacefully at his home on April 26, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was born in Gravette on June 10,1936, to the late James Milton Matlock Sr. and Ora (Rotrammel) Matlock.

He attended Immanuel Baptist Church and retired from Keathley Patterson Electric Company in Springdale. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and his faithful dog, Moses.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Matlock; children, Vicki Safarik of Rogers, Carrie Gildehaus and husband, John, of Bentonville, Bill Matlock and wife, Kellee, of Bryant; sister, Bonnie Powers of Rogers; grandchildren, Kyle, Chad and Ryan Safarik, Ashley, Afton and Alex Gildehaus, Scarlet, Hudson and Henry Matlock; and great-grandchildren, Lydia and Ariane.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Pinnacle Memorial Gardens.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 2555 S. 26th St. Rogers, AR 72758, or to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72764.
