Gwen Delaney, 84, of Columbus, AR, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Delaney was born October 28, 1933 in Greencastle, Indiana to the late George Young and Agnes Freeman Young.
She was a member of Columbus Baptist Church, and she had worked at the Spotlight Garment Factory in Ashdown, Beard Poulan, and at the Ultra Stop in Nashville through her many years.
Mrs. Delaney was preceded in death by her husband, James Delaney, her parents, and her two sisters, Norma Lee Bland and Clara Mae Stone.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie and Christy Delaney, Bob and Donna Delaney; five granddaughters Brandy and Kevin Flowers, Kim and William “Peanut” Cole, Amanda and D.W. White, Jill and Nick Metzer, Sarah and Josh Cash; four great granddaughters, eight great grandsons; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Columbus Cemetery in Columbus, AR with Doug Loop officiating under the direction of Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Columbus Cemetery Association.
