When Robert Eli Baker was born on August 14, 1887, in Halls, Tennessee, his father, William, was 25 and his mother, Emma, was 24. He married Sarah Lavenia Chrisp on December 26, 1912. They had two children during their marriage. He died on December 2, 1979, in Judsonia, Arkansas, at the age of 92, and was buried in Walker, Arkansas.
