Thomas Ralph Nuckolls, 81, of Searcy, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, in Searcy. He was born Jan. 27, 1922, in Higginson to Arthur and Myrtle Nuckolls. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Searcy.

He is survived by one sister, Cordelia Ferguson of Searcy; two nieces, Mary Jane Jones of Wisconsin and Linda Burnham of Demopolis, Ala.; one great-niece, Heidi Sims of Buford, Ga.; one great-nephew, Andy Burnham of Boca Raton, Fla.; and three cousins, Oma Bea Morris of Searcy, Tommie Brown of Searcy, and L.C. Nuckolls of North Little Rock.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Myrtle Nuckolls, and two sisters, Wilma Jones and Gertrude Nuckolls.

A graveside memorial service conducted by Rev. Frank Warden and Rev. Mike Morey will be held Sunday, Sept. 21, at 2:30 p.m. at Ellis Chapel Cemetery. The family has requested memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers. For more information, contact Roller-Daniel Funeral Home at 268-3546.
