Robert "Bobby" Winston Hilton from Kensett, Arkansas died January 12, 2009 in Searcy, Arkansas. He was born May 29, 1926 in Judsonia to Lewis Benjamin Hilton and Eula Magdeline Cobb Ray. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Murrell Hawkins Hilton of Kensett, and two daughters, Donna Hopper and husband, Robin of Searcy and Cathy Potter and husband, Don of Conway. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Suzanne Hopper Roach and husband, Craig of Jonesboro; Robert Hopper of Fayetteville and Ross Hopper of Searcy and one great grandchild, Owen Roach of Jonesboro. He is survived by brother, Jerry Hilton and wife, Norma, of Gurdon and sister, Susie Spann and husband Larry of Bismarck and sister-in-law, Connie Hilton of Gurdon. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Dean Armstrong and Jimmy Hilton and sisters-in-law, Virginia Armstrong and Brenda Armstrong.

He was a graduate of Kensett High School, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from Mississippi River Fuel Transmission Company. He was a devoted member of the Kensett First Baptist Church where he served as deacon, Sunday School teacher, and fulfilled several roles in the music department. He loved to hunt, fish, coach girls' softball and play the steel guitar in several country and gospel bands. He supported his children and grandchildren in all their school and sports activities. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Murrell's twin sister, Pearl Palmer and her girls, the WCMC nursing staff, Pastor Bro. Joe Clement, and his many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Kensett First Baptist Church Building Fund at P.O. Box 692, Kensett, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Kensett First Baptist Church located at 308 W. Wilbur D. Mills with internment following at White County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.
