Stikkers, who was also co-chairman of the Regional Solid Waste Committee, was rushed by city employees from his office at city hall to meet an ambulance near the White River bridge at Greenland.

Utilities Superintendent Michael (Butch) Bartholomew said Stikkers collapsed about 8:50 this morning.

He was born April, 16, 1914, in the Netherlands and emigrated with his family to the United States while still a child. He was the son of John and Jeanette Stikkers and a member of the Presbyterian Church in West Fork.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucille Stikkers of the home, three sons, Donald Eugene of Clairmont, Calif., Wayne of Hammersville, Ohio, and Bruce of St. Joseph, Ill.; two brothers, Tim Stikkers of Springfield, Mo. and John Willian Stikkers of Glenview, Ill.; and 18 grandchildren.
