Sister Rubie Dean Miller was born May 21, 1941 in Locust Bayou, AR to Jessie Cook, Sr. and Beulah Bunn Miller. She departed this life Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Pine Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Camden, AR.
Rubie accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Church of Christ in Locust Bayou. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School. In her early years she was an employed factory worker in the Highland Industrial Park. Rubie loved fishing, listening to music and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jessie Cook, Sr.; her mother, Beulah Bunn Miller; her brother, Newly Bunn; and sister, Flossie Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Debra Miller and LaMonica Stevens (Joe) both of Camden, AR; a very special sister, Daisy Edwards of San Bernadino, CA; seven grandchildren, Chassity Miller and Mekala Miller both from Little Rock, AR, Keandra Miller of Hot Springs, AR, Carolyn Miller, Laticia Miller and Daisha Tooks of Camden, AR and Kameka Williams of Little Rock, AR; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Proctor Funeral Home with burial in St. Paul Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday.
