Marty Phillips, 29, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, April 28, 1993, at Fayetteville City Hospital. Born April 9, 1964, at Prairie Grove, the son of Onnie and Jeannie Arnold Phillips, he was a self-employed remodeling carpenter, having worked in several areas in Northwest Arkansas remodeling rooms and homes. He was a lifetime resident of this area and a Baptist.
Survivors are his father, Onnie Phillips of Prairie Grove; his mother, Jeannie John of Wesley; a brother, Patrick Phillips of Fayetteville; three sisters, Tami Stephenson of Cane Hill, Melanie Aman of Maysville and Lisa Phillips of Conway; maternal grandmother, Edna Worley of Tulsa, Okla.; paternal grandmother, Florene Phillips of Prairie Grove; two nieces and three nephews; and several aunts and uncles.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moore's Chapel with Rev. Glen D. Faulkner officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in memory of Marty Phillips to: Washington County H.I.V. Clinic, 1100 N. Woolsey, Fayetteville, Ark. 72703.
