SILOAM SPRINGS — Eugene "Gene" Calvin Breedlove, 96, of Siloam Springs died June 1, 2004, at Heatheridge Living Center in Tulsa, Okla. He was born Sept. 17, 1907, in Siloam Springs to Edgar Clay and Minnie Mae Capps Breedlove. He was a butcher in the grocery business and later was produce manager for Millsaps IGA in Siloam Springs from 1937 to 1970. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a life member of the VFW. He was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diva Marjorie Arric Breedlove.

Survivors include one son, Edward C. Breedlove and wife Frances of Tulsa; one daughter, Jane Anne Knight of Tulsa; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Oak Hill Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church in Siloam Springs with the Rev. Tom West officiating. Arrangements are by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
