Robert Dean Dodson of Salem Oregon, formerly of Monticello died August 13, 2014 in Salem Oregon. He was born in Monticello, AR on October 10, 1942 to parents Rufus Earl Dodson and Dellar Crews Dodson. He proposed to Geraldine Ellen Fowler on August 11, 1967 and they married on February 10, 1968. Bob worked as a construction superintendent residing in various states such as Arkansas, California, Colorado and Oregon.

Bob attended Word of Life Fellowship Church in Salem, Oregon. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, camping, reading westerns and watching the western channel. His favorite past time was spoiling wife, children, grandchildren, puppies and anyone else he felt needed spoiling. To many he was a favorite uncle, a stand-in dad and an “adopted” grandpa.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Dodson, two daughters, Cheryl Diane Dodson and Patricia Ann Kane, two grandchildren, Jeremy Martin Kane and Jacob Robert Kane, Brothers Earl Dodson of Grapevine, Texas, James Dodson of Monticello, AR and Johnny Dodson of Lodi, California, Sisters Joann Keel, Betty Berry, Faye Beedle of Monticello, AR, Jean Collins of Little Rock, AR. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Vaughn Dodson, his sister Daisy Mae Russell and his brother Pete Dodson.
