When Sarah Ruth Millsap was born on December 14, 1918, in Oklahoma, her father, Earnest, was 24, and her mother, Loma, was 21. She married James Acton Hedrick in Texas. They had two children during their marriage. She died on May 29, 2003, in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 84, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
