SPRINGDALE — Grover Dee Hathorn, 86, of Springdale passed from this life on Jan. 23, 2002, at his home. He was born Nov. 29, 1915, in Madison County to Omer and Artie Fultz Hathorn. He lived in Springdale for 55 years. He was a Pentecostal and a member of the Faith Full Gospel Church. He was known for helping churches and people, and for making garden with mules. He was preceded in death by three wives, Dialpha Wiggins, in 1945, Agnes Wiggins Hasty in 1963, and Zelma Vincent on Sept. 1, 2001, one daughter, Lorena Barnett, and one stepson, Truman Hasty.

Survivors include one son, James Hathorn and wife Mary; three daughters, Betty Harrison and husband Ray, Loretta Duncan and husband Larry and Barbara Yarbrough and husband Doyle, all of Springdale; two brothers, Wilburn Hathorn and wife Juanita of Springdale, Roman Hathorn and wife Janice of Hartman; three sisters, Mildred Wilson and husband J.D. of Weslaco, Texas, Donnie White and husband Bob of Highfill and Bonnie Graves of Springdale; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; two aunts, Elsie Cain of Springdale and Lizzie McClung of Watson, Okla., and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with Brother Michael Whorton and Brother Kelly Yarbrough officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Sisco Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Hathorn, Tim Whorton, Jeff Hutcheson, Ricky Trolinger, Ronnie Hathorn and Mathew White.

Honorary pallbearers will to Brian Terry, Lester Joyner, Larry Hathorn, Donald Graves, Mark White and Richard Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may to made to the Circle of Life Hospice, 610 E. Emma St., Springdale, 72765.

Zelma Hathorn, 88, of Springdale died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, at Northwest Medical Center.

Born Dec. 22, 1912, in Hedges, she was the daughter of Ibert and Mary Smith Vincent.

She moved to this area from Mountain Home in 1963. She was a member of Faith Full Gospel Church in Springdale, and was a licensed practical nurse for more than 35 years.

She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter.

Survivors include her husband, Grover Hathorn of the home; a stepson, James Hathorn of Springdale; three stepdaughters, Betty Harrison, Loretta Dunivan and Barbara Yarbrough, all of Springdale; seven step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, with the Rev. Kelly Yarbrough officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
