SPRINGDALE — Leon Eugene Baublit, 71, of Springdale died March 11, 2000, at Springdale Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Jan. 2, 1926, in Hollister, Mo., to Henry Sylvester and Maude Peterson Baublit.
He was a Life resident of the area and a farmer. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Springdale chapter of the VFW. He was a member of the Northwest Arkansas Hunting Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Nola Baublit of Fort Smith; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale with the Rev. Jim Huffman officiating.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. today at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
