Ernest Cooper, 85, of Springdale, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 1995, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
Born Oct. 2, 1910, in St. Paul, the son of Frances and Nancy McCarty Cooper, he was a farmer and a custodian at Springdale High School before his retirement in 1972. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a Baptist. He was the widower of Gertie Wages Cooper.
Survivors are a son, Denver J. Cooper of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Edith Tillman of Prairie Grove, Helen Donovan of Springdale and Linda Carte of Rogers; two brothers, Lester Cooper of St. Paul and Lee Cooper of Bentonville; a sister, Dorothy Jones of St. Paul; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Gertie Cooper, 80. of Springdale died Thursday, Feb. 17, 1994, at Springdale Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 17, 1913, at Fallsville, the daughter of Mose and Margaret I. Knuckles Wages. She moved to this area in 1966 from Siloam Springs and was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors are her husband, Ernest Cooper, of the home; one son, Denver Cooper of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Edith Tillman of Springdale, Helen Donovan of Lowell and Linda Carte of Rogers; one brother, Virgil Wages of Witter; two sisters, Pearl Sharbel of Soap Lake, Wash. and Ivey Jones of Broken Bow, Okla.; 19 grandchildren: and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sisco Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
