June 29, 1947 - August 15, 1977
Monroe, La. - Wilburn Junior Layton, 30, of Monroe, died Monday in a New Orleans, La. hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, Ark., with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden. He was a member of Monroe's First Assembly of God Church and was an employe of a Monroe hospital. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Brenda Yockey Layton of Monroe; a son, Henry Lee Layton of Camden; his mother, Mrs. Alene H. Layton of Camden; his father, Wilburn Layton; two brothers, David Layton of Miami, Fla., and Danny Layton of Magnolia; and a sister, Miss Dee Ann Layton of Camden. (Camden News - August 16, 1977)
