Opal June McCullough, 85, passed away June 22, 2012 at Ouachita County Medical Center. She was a member of Cullendale First Baptist Church. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Durwood McCullough; her parents, George W. and Annie Merritt Dixon; one brother; and five sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen McManus (Brent) of Camden, AR, Danita Bettis (Steve Swails) of Camden, AR, and Debra Barkovitz (Alan) of Plymouth, NC; a stepson, Richard McCullough (Theresa) of Thornton, AR; six grandchildren, Natalee Nuckols (Todd) of Little Rock, AR, Andrea Bettis (Brandon Livingston) of Camden, AR, William Barkovitz of Raleigh, NC, Aaron Barkovitz of Plymouth, NC, John Michael McManus of Camden, AR, and Timothy McCullough of Thornton, AR; one great-grandchild, Hayden Livingston of Camden, AR; a brother, Tom Dixon of Clarksville, TN; and a sister, Selma Shepperd of Greensboro, NC.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be Monday, 10:00 at Cullendale First Baptist Church with Clay Doss officiating followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cullendale First Baptist Church Building Fund, 1850 Cash Road, Camden, AR 71701, Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202, or Alzheimer's Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205.
