Mrs. Geneva Owens Emerson, 80, of 426 Buchannan St., died Wednesday in a hospital at San Antonio, Tex., while on a visit to her daughter. Mrs. Emerson was the widow of Carl C. Emerson, and a Baptist. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs James Fielder of San Antonio, and Mrs. Charles Moran of Mesquite, Tex.; three sons, Owen R. Irby of Boulder, Colo., Jessie D. Irby of Loveland, Colo., and Neil Irby of Norphlet; one sister, Mrs. Eula Mason of El Dorado; three brothers, Wyley Owens, Arhtur Owens, and Bill Owens, all of Junction City; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 a.m. Saturday at Proctor's Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. (Camden News - October 14, 1971)
