Helen Ruth Brown McAdams Pollard, 55, of Bradford, departed this life Friday, May 20, 2016 with family by her side. She was born June 17, 1960 in Brinkley, Arkansas, a daughter of Willie "Bill" and Rebecca (Newnum) Brown.
Helen was a wonderful, caring, generous woman; a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many people. Helen had a heart of gold and loved helping people. She wanted to see those she loved do right. Helen was full of life and never met stranger. She always had a smile on her face.
Helen was a member of the Bradford Methodist Church. She loved her church and all her church family, but most of all she loved the Lord with all her heart. She knew she could face any problems that arose as long as she put her trust in him. Helen worked for International Paper in Memphis, Tennessee for 15 years and enjoyed her job very much. She moved back to Bradford and started working at the funeral home shortly after and has been there ever since. Helen enjoyed working and helping people. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, canning, and just sitting outside spending time with her family and friends. Everything Helen did she did with her whole heart. She will be missed beyond measure by her family and friends.
Helen is survived by her husband, Gerald Pollard; one son, Jason McAdams; one daughter, Brittany McAdams; one precious grandson, Jeremiah Kyle McAdams; two step-sons, John (Melissa) Pollard, and Kelly (Carolyn) Pollard; her mother and step-father, Rebecca and Jerry Crain; one brother, Billy Brown; six sisters, Melanie (Jr.) Ybanez, Martha Lee (Josa) Bailey Castanos, Willia Jean Brown, Letha (Doyle) Crain, Michelle (James) Hunt, and Paulette (Richard) Gilmore; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Cleneth McAdams; daughter, Elizabeth Rebecca McAdams; her father, Willie "Bill" Brown; and her grandparents, William and Martha Newnum.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Bradford Methodist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Bill Mills officiating.
