When Dorothy Oretha Blount Paris was born on June 14, 1927, in Garner, Arkansas, her father, Eugene, was 33, and her mother, Ethel, was 25. She married Tracy Gilbert Paris on May 3, 1947. They had one child during their marriage. She died in April 1977 in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 49, and was buried there.
