Bessie M. Miles Davis, age 86, of Warren, AR. died Wednesday, June 23, 2010. She was born in Winfield, Alabama on April 23, 1924 as the third child of Etta Davis Miles and Ervin Miles, and resided most of her life in Calhoun and Bradley counties of Arkansas. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Elmer who died in February, 1992, and a sister, Lula Dunn. She is survived by one sister, Anna Blaylock of Luling, La, a son Carlton E. Davis and his wife Clydine of Warren, AR; grandchildren Carl Davis and wife Betsy, of Little Rock, AR and Cathie Threlkeld and husband Jim of Searcy, AR and 4 great grandchildren Davis Threlkeld, Aley Ann Threlkeld, Denver Threlkeld and Audrey Catherine Threlkeld all of Searcy, AR. Bessie was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church of Warren. Funeral services were 4:30pm Friday June 25, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Gary Maskell officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and Bob Haygood soloist. Burial was in Earnest Cemetery near Tinsman by Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were Marty Blaylock, Kenny Blaylock, David Morris, James Morris, Richard Morris and Joe Reaves. In Lieu of flowers, Carlton request donations to the Calvary Baptist Church Children's Education Fund, Sturgis and Arch, Warren, AR 71671.
