When Candace Priscilla Davis was born in 1914 in Arkansas, her father, Lewis, was 45, and her mother, Johnnie, was 15. She married Conley A Singleton on April 7, 1928. They had three children in 13 years. She died on February 2, 1998, in Mena, Arkansas, at the age of 84, and was buried in White, Arkansas.
