Bonnie Marie Dews, age 82, passed from this life on November 24, 2016, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She is the daughter of Samuel Jefferson Pratt and Mamie Mae Pratt, both of whom have also gone on to their rewards.
Bonnie is survived by five children, Anita Stafford of Camden, Randy Stafford and Carmelita of Nashville, Tenn., Mike Dews and Rhonda of Camden, Mark Dews and Sharon of Marshall, Texas and Karen Breseman of Malvern; five grandchildren, Dustin Stafford of Camden, Sydny Burnett and Kelvis of Memphis, Brooklyn Love of Memphis, Sam Stafford of Nashville, Addison Stafford of Nashville; and great-grandchildren Libbie and Blayne Stafford of Camden. Her little dog, Shorty, was with her every moment.
She is predeceased by her husband, J. B. “Jack” Dews, Jr. and her son, David Allen Stafford.
Bonnie Dews was born Oct. 26, 1934, in Prescott, Arkansas; an only child. She was a 1952 graduate of Camden High School. She retired from Performance Chevrolet after 25 years. She was a familiar face around downtown Camden for years as an employee of Usrey Drug Store and Hunnicutt Buick. Bonnie’s family and friends will remember her kindness and compassion, as well as her sweet spirit.
Bonnie is a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Camden. Funeral services will be at First Assembly of God Church on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Greg Sanders and the Rev. Buddy Ratliff officiating. Visitation is at Proctor’s Funeral Home this Sunday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
