Thomas A. Morphew was born August 08, 1927 in Amity, Arkansas and died Thursday, March 15, 2012 in Hot Springs, Arkansas

Survived by a wife, Bobbie Morphew; two sons, Tom and Harry Morphew; three daughters, Becky Shipp, Christy Fair and Caroline Crew; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Leroy Morphew, Sue Jester, Virginia Kuhn, Joe Morphew Mike Morphew, Robert Morphew and Phyllis Alexander.

He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps having enlisted in 1945; served through the Korean and Vietnam War eras and retired in 1964. He was commander of the Camden Post of the VFW for many years. He was also an avid gardener sharing the fruits of his labors with his neighbors.

Visitation will be held at Proctor funeral home Sunday, March 18 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 19 at the United Methodist Church in Glenwood, AR. Graveside services will be held Monday, March 19, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden at 2:30 p.m.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
