Charles Edward “Charlie” Hughes, age 62, passed away Tuesday, April 24 at Arkansas Hospice-St. Vincent’s in Little Rock. He was born August 11, 1949 in Monticello.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator with the Arkansas Highway Department, an avid hunter who loved the outdoors and was a member of the Pevey Hunting Club. He was a longtime member of the Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by his parents S. G. and Thelma Myhand Hughes.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Mills Hughes of Monticello; one brother, Billy Joe Hughes of Pine Bluff; one sister, Betty Hughes of Monticello; one nephew, Marty Hughes; one niece, Carri Langley; and two great-nieces, Corri and Calli Langley.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Brad Baltz and his staff for the excellent care they gave to our loved one.
