Gloria Sue Walker Weaver, 76, a lifelong resident of Camden, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She was born July 12, 1936 to Leslie and Inice May Walker. She was a member of Timothy United Methodist Church. She retired from International Paper Company after 47 years of employment. She served on the Fairview School Board for 10 years and volunteered at the voting polls.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Vernon Weaver; sons, David Weaver and wife, Paula and Phillip Weaver and wife, Charlie all of Camden; sister, Rita McClure of Little Rock; brothers, Michael Walker of Arkansas, KS and Tommy Walker of Robeline, LA; and grandchildren, Nicholas and wife, Ashley, Jacob, Carly, and Leslie.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Timothy United Methodist Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Jeff Jackson will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Two Bayou United Methodist Church. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
