Paul "Pete" VanWinkle, 75, of Searcy, departed this life Thursday, February 23, 2017. He was born March 24, 1941 in Bradford, Arkansas, a son of the late Everett and Chole (Hunter) VanWinkle.
Pete was an outdoorsman. He liked watching sports of all kinds. He especially enjoyed watching Linda Poe play ball. Pete loved antique cars and motorcycles. The town of Bradford was very important to Pete and he looked forward to the time he spent at Bradford Fun Fest. He was a great father and will be missed dearly by his family.
He is preceded in death by three brothers; two sisters; and his parents.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Carolyn (Mitchell) VanWinkle; two sons, Robbie Mitchell and wife Kimberly of Searcy, and Paul VanWinkle and wife Judy of Dewey; four grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Graveside Service will be held Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Smith Cemetery in Bradford with Pastor Jason Davis officiating. Interment to follow.
