Freddie Franklin Kennedy, age 86, of Camden, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at his home. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Cullendale First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Chlotile Allen Kennedy; parents, Charlie Clyde and Lucy Loretta Bell Kennedy; brother, Charles Kennedy; and sisters, Christine Hicks, Lorene New, and Zula House. He is survived by his son, Wayne Kennedy and wife, Sandra of Camden; daughter, Joyce Griffith and husband, Sam of Houston, TX; brother, R. B. Kennedy and wife, Eleanor of Midland, TX; sister, Patsy Sanders of Camden; grandchildren, Holly Strickland and husband, Greg, Julie Wylie and husband, Richard all of Camden, Gianna Cooley and husband, Stewart, and Jamie Griffith all of Houston, TX; and great-grandchildren, Morgan Strickland, Haley Strickland, and Landon Wylie all of Camden.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Cullendale First Baptist Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Philip Salmon will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cullendale First Baptist Church of Camden. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
