Roy Arnold Cearley, of Camden, Arkansas passed away Friday, Apri1 2, 2010 peacefully at home.

Roy is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Beulah "Bea" Toomey Cearley; his beloved son, Stuart A. Cearley and wife, Michelle of Bentonville, AR; his beloved daughter, Donya A. Stark and husband, John of Delaware, Ohio; eight beloved grandchildren, David, Sarah, Promise, Joanna, and Nathanael Stark and Owen, Hudson, and Arden Cearley.

Roy was born in Ball Ground, Georgia on July 5, 1939 to Stella Green Cearley. After graduation from high school, Roy worked at the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C. and the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington, D. C. He met his wife and they were married on May 28, 1960. They moved to Greenville, SC where he repaired and made attachments for sewing machines. In 1970, the family moved to Camden, Arkansas where he was a mechanic and made sewing machine attachments for Stephens Garment. Later he worked for Atlantic Research Corporation and General Dynamics before retiring from Hi-Tech

Roy enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His hobbies were making knives, working with stained glass, and gun smithing, all of which he participated in for the pure enjoyment of the crafts.

Roy was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of Camden, Arkansas, a 40 plus year member of Ancient Free Masonary of South Carolina with dual membership in Ancient Free and Accepted Masonary in Camden, Arkansas where he was currently serving as senior warden.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-8 pm at Proctor Funeral Home. The funeral, officiated by Bro. Richard Merritt and Bro. Larry Hudson will be Monday at 10:00 at Proctor's Chapel with internment to immediately follow at Camden Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, Arkansas Baptist Children's Home or to one of the World Vision funds for Widows & Orphans, or the charity of the donor's choice.
