James Edward Cook was the youngest son of James B. Cook and Martha (Rhodes) Cook. He was born on May 23, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Thomas Burnell Brown.

James will be dearly missed by his family; his wife of 42 years. Rosie; two daughters, Edwina (Daryl) Jeffries and Janet (Chantez) Adams; four grandchildren, Darah, Joshua, Kendall and Darren; one sister, Ida Nell Dawn; nephews, Ricky Dawn and Darrell McElroy; nieces Rossland Lee and Cynthia Lewis; one sister-in-law, Stella Robinson, and one brother-in-law, Robert Strickland; nephews, Anthony, Garrick, and Clarence Strickland. The family would also like to acknowledge his dear friend who was like a brother, Oree Manley. There are also a host of other relatives and friends.

Proctor Funeral Home of Camden is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday March 11, 2016 at the funeral home.
